A few days ago I updated firmware of my phone (bada 1.2 -> bada 2.0). Since that day only part of track is written into diary. Today I've made 17km cycling, but only 6km is written... Time of workout is OK, but part of track disappears. Two latest tracks of mine are like that. Can somebody help? What can be done?

additionally, I checked today that only about 20 minutes is written. After that GPS signal is OK and in green, time is ticking, but distance does not grow any further :(
I checked all the gps settings, even disabled base station tracking and a-gps and it is still the same...

There must be some sort of sleep/power saving timer kicking in inside Bada 2? Unfortunately my old Wave won't upgrade to 2.0 (it was a "special" developer one), but I'll see if I can find anything out.

Are there any news on the topic? I bought another gps logger (which is piece of.... comparing to running free) and got the same results. As well as on free sMove application (track from today). I also wrote Samsung. The only answer was that they are forwarding my question to another departartment.... I just wonder if anyone can collect full tracks on bada 2.0? If there is no fix I'm afraid I lost my logging device at all...

I'm a tad annoyed with Samsung... they've sent me an email telling me the operating system has changed and that my app is incompatible so they have removed my app... I've written back asking what I need to change... nothing back. I've tried to upgrade Nicola's Wave to Bada 2... it won't upgrade. Not sure what to do right now, but will keep trying! Stuart

It seems that everybody who upgraded the phone to bada 2.0 has this problem. I checked plenty of application and the problem exists everywhere when the screen is locked (I checked sMove, Gps tracker, bada tracker, iMapMyRide and a few others). I reported the problem to samsung and they responded that my phone is broken and I should take it to the authorised service. I complained twice but each time it was the same - your phone is broken... So I would ask You to report this problem to samsung so they will know there is something wrong with their firmware.
Go to samsung web page, choose suport and then choose email for product support.

Les escribo este correo después de ponerme en contacto con el desarrollador de mi aplicación favorita _quotRunning free online_quot
El caso es que me funcionaba perfectamente dicha aplicación para guardar mis paseos en bicicleta. Recientemente actualizé a BADA 2.0 mediante kies y ahora ya no me guarda los progresos. Contacté con el programador y cree que el problema está en el bloqueo automático de la pantalla, puesto que guarda muy poco trayecto (ayer me hize 25 km. y solo guardó 300 mts. )
Dado que la aplicación funcionaba a las mil maravillas antes de la actualización de mi bada, y ahora no funciona pensé que pudiera ser el propio programa, así que lo desisntalé para volverlo a instalar nuevamente y ¡sorpresa! ya no está en samsung apps.
Otro problema que tengo es que en su día compré lel juego _quotdungeon hunter_quot en samsung apps (pagando, no gratis), y desde que actualizé a bada 2.0 no me deja jugar, dice que tiene que descargarse de nuevo, cosa que no veo posible puesto que el juego desapareció de la tienda samsung apps.
Y tercer y para mí más acuciante problema: el reproductor de música cuando pones la pausa, y esperas más de diez minutos, cuando vuelves a ponerlo ya no recuerda la posición por dónde iba. En canciones cortas puede ser una trivialidad, pero para usuarios como yo que oimos largas grabaciones tipo programas de radio es un auténtico fastidio. Es más, me arrepiento de haber actualizado a bada 2.0, con todas las mejoras que se le supone, pero para mi este fallo es verdaderamente catastrófico.

I sent them this: " Puedo entender que las aplicaciones gratuitas de bada 1.0 pudieran dejar de ser compatibles con bada 1.2 (no lo veo normal, lo normal es que Samsung se esforzara en que fueran compatibles, pero bueno....) pero no entiendo que una aplicación por la que hayamos pagado los usuarios se nos borre así como así. Como mínimo creo que debieran de haber avisado, chequeado qué aplicaciones dejarían de funcionar... algo. Si pudiera volver a 1.2 me lo plantearía.

First of all I like stuart's application a lot!!! Last time I tested nearly all of the gps loggers applications. Running free is the best! Why? It used to work in background with the screen locked (only half of the other applications), saved the battery (only two other applications), saved the memory, saved the track even when the phone was accidentally restarted by navmi files (none other). So there is no other application like this. Believe me.
MOst of all, I wish I had running free for bada 2.0, but....
There is a way to download bada 1.0 or 2.0 on samsung wave. This is called multidownloader and specific firmware. I know where to get polish version, but I think not everybody wants to have this language pack so You must find it yourself ;)
I changed my firmware back to bada 1,2 and everything works... beside the fact that running free is no longer available :((((( and google maps does not work and some applications are no longer supported etc....... There no easy way out. So I changed firmware back to bada 2.0.
P.S. Yesterday there was another update to bada 2.01. Nothing changes in our case :(
I'm thinking of android and gps logger. Anyway when I get android I think I will still use runningfreeonline.com -> Like it!

Hi.
I'm having the same problem here with my Samsung Wave Y, running Bada 2.0.1. I'm using SportTracker and Endomondo (Java) for tracking my runnings and bycicles but when the screen goes off it seems the GPS stops working and the app no longer record the data.
I'm looking for something that can revert this but until now, no success. I don't know whether it's a problem with the OS (Bada) or with the hardware.
Unfortunatelly, I don't have the options to install another Firmware because the device already comes with this OS - Bada 2.0.1.
I'll send an e-mail to Samsung describing this weird behavior. For while, I'm very angry because I bought the phone for use with this apps. This two - SportTracker and Endomondo - are the only ones (that I found) that runs on my device.
