Hello everyone!
I'm Jacky and I live in Girona, a beautiful city in the northeastern part of Spain, about an hour's drive north from Barcelona (where the Olympic games were held in 1992).
I am a proud mom of 3 wonderful miracles (as I call them), Paula, who's 8, Jan who's 6 and little Pol who just turned 3. I took running up 5 and 1/2 years ago but became injured after 6 months and took 3 long, long, long years to find a "cure". So after all that time and baby #3 at home I went back to running being about 60lbs overweight. But I did it! I am slow but enjoy it. Hard to find time/organize at times but loving it. Sidelined at the moment due to some torn/ruptured fibers on my achylles (sp?) but hopefully cleared out by the weekend (seeing my doc in an hour!).
I have run a few 10ks and 2 half marathons. I dream of running a marathon one day (aiming for Barcelona 2013) and top of the list is the NYC marathon which I should be running in 2013 too.
So... here's a little about me. Really excited to join you all!
