If any Spanish Bada users can help me I would like it...
It seems that some Spanish users (and a couple of French users too) are seeing problems with zero distance being recorded. I have talked a lot with Samsung about this - it is hard work (Samsung support assume all customers are stupid...).
I need to understand more about:
- what the problems are that Spanish users are seeing
- what network the phones are on
- whether the phones are being used with music players or other software too
- what version of Bada the phones are running
- whether the phones have "green ok" during the exercise
- whether the phones work with other GPS apps like the GPS status app
Any help appreciated - if you know any Spanish users who have problems, please try to feed the information back - I will try to work out what the problem is.
Gracias
Stuart
Hi Stuart,
I'm from Spain, near Barcelona exactly.
- I think the problem the users have with their phones is located on their firmware. Here all the people is getting his Wave with a low prize with the Vodafone, Orange, Yoigo and Movistar promos.
So the problem is that the firmware the operators install it's corrupted. I mean that if people don't change their firmware to a Samsung official firmware they will have problems with their GPS.
I had Vodafone firmware in my Wave and all the apps that run with GPS didn't work.
For example, I had GPS Status and it tryed so much to get my location for first time, but when I got, it never change again even I was moving. The same with Ndrive and others. This is frequently asked in forums.
www.badaspain.com forum helped me.
I flashed my Wave to JF8 firmware and all the problems have gone. All the GPS apps works perfectly, "Runningfree" too.
- I use the app with the Wave music player at the same time and there's no prob.
- My version of Bada it's 1.0
If you need something else you know where I am.
Bye.
