I'd love to make one :) It *will* happen... Also I know the Zone5 team behind SportTracks like Android :) In the meantime, you can use mytracks from Google, then set it up to email mytracks@runsaturday.com when it's finished - http://www.runsaturday.com/Train/Add/MyTracksHope that helps Stuart

MyTracks rocks! I've tried SportyPal and CardioTrainer, and MyTracks initiates the gps way faster than the other apps. I've tried it on HTC Legend, Samsung Galaxy i7500 and the T-Mobile G1.
What I really need is a hrm-monitor on my Android. And bigger batteries!

Allready did this, but i prefer the usability of SportyPal. And i suppose that you need internet connection while logging with MyTracks, and for saving energy i prefer not to. (but hey, i'm not really sure about that) Also like the direct publish on Twitter or Facebook option with SportyPal. So, very looking forward to a RunSaturday app :)

So does anyone fancy working on this with me? Google have today released the mytracks source code - I'd like to build around that. I've already got an Eclipse Android build environment up and running - let's start by just adding an upload interface to runsat. The code for this is already documented - e.g. search for Andread PHP's upload code. Anyone interested? Stuart

OK - I've got the mytracks code built and running :) Quote:Allready did this, but i prefer the usability of SportyPal. What did you mean by this, caramel? Is it just bigger start/stop/pause buttons? Or something else? Starting from the current MyTracks release, what would be the changes you'd want? universalis, any changes you'd like? :) Stuart

I'd like you to make a RunSaturday-app on Android with a hrm-monitor chest belt:-)
And it should work just the way a polar or garmin- hrm-monitor do. And with a built in upload function to RunSaturday!

No release yet - but I do have the code built - and I know Google have the ANT+ functionality built... Sorry but for now all I can say is "soon" (For any Samsung fans, I do also have a Bada development under way!)

Wow, that sounds very interesting... Will the ANT+ support available in all Android devices or is a special chipset necessary? I found this interesting information yesterday (HTC devices are mentioned): http://www.thisisant.com/news/stories/ant-enabled-live-google-data-feedKind regards! Jens

One additional question: Will Ant+ be supported without any additional hardware or is it necessary to use a converter/receiver?
Kind regards, Jens
