Swindon Half Marathon

The Nationwide Swindon Half Marathon is firmly established on the autumn race calendar and organisers are hoping for bumper entries this year, particularly as it falls on Sunday, October 10 - the lucky Chinese date 10-10-10.

The event is organised by Swindon Borough Council and sponsored by Nationwide Building Society and, for the first time, prize money has been introduced for the top-placed runners in the half marathon.

The 13.1-mile race winds its way through pretty neighbouring villages, more than compensating for the undulating parts of the course. And if the half marathon is not for you, the event also boasts a five-mile multi-terrain and a two-mile fun run.

Finishers in all of the races will receive a medal, t-shirt and a goody bag along with the satisfaction and achievement of crossing the finish line. The British Heart Foundation administers all event registration.

For more information call the registration line on 0800 169 3672 or visit www.swindonhalfmarathon.co.uk
