Bollé Warrant £96
The frame was lightweight, and the glare non existent. They felt good on, I hardly noticed I was wearing them, and there were no red marks as I adjusted the nose piece. The lnses were good quality and robust, and really helped keep out the sun.
They were a very good fit and didn’t ove about at all during the race.

Cébé Motion £34
These glasses were relatively heavy, but sturdy and scratch resistant (picked up by two year old!). The “rounded temple tips” promised and delivered a comfortable fit. The larger frames really suited my face.
A nice tint to the lens and overall did exactly what I wanted them to do in performance terms.

Adidas adilibria Sense £140
With a floral design and pink touches these glasses have women in mind. Clarity of vision was great
and the fit was amazing. I was able to adjust them to my big head! The nice thing was, when I put these
glasses on my head, they didn’t get caught up in my hair - a first!

Evolution Echo £19.95
Although they felt a bit more ‘plasticy’ than the others I saw on test, these glasses were perfect. The lens was ‘polarised’ and there was no distortion. They felt light enough and fitted me snuggly. They are UV400 rated, and I was happy with that. But more than anything I was happy with the great value.

Silhouette Sun Titan Minimal Art £180
These glasses were sooo stylish! At first glance I wondered if they’d be good for running, but they felt amazingly light on, moulded to me, and did the job of keeping the sun out of my eyes. They were so light that they didn’t sit well on my head.
But overall fantastic for my 5k race!

Maui Jim Makaha £106
The “Grilamid Frame” felt firm and flexible. I wore these at the sunny Brighton Marathon and the lenses kept out the glare, but I could see very clearly through them. They were a good fit, and the nose piece was so light that I hardly knew I was wearing them. They stayed on top of my head when it got overcast later in the day. Worth the money.

Polaroid Vector FROM £49.99
I selected these glasses to run the marathon in, because they were very lightweight and fitted perfectly on my face. There was no glare, and they promise 100% UV protection.
The only negative was moving them on and off my head - they were so light they came off the frames! But handle with care and they’re ideal for doing the distance.
Fiona, Eastbourne. Race: marathon
