1 OUT SOLES

Inov-8 offer 11 different, specially designed, outsoles that allow the runner to have the best grip and performance possible on a variety of terrains. From asphalt and hard-packed trails (f-lite/roclite) to deep mud and snow (mudclaw).

2 RUBBER

To accompany the 11 different outsoles, Inov-8 use three different rubber components to give the best performance. Sticky rubber for maximum grip; endurance for a longer lasting outsole without compromising grip; and translucent that is non-marking – perfect for parkour or gym use.

3 SHOC-ZONE

Unique to Inov-8, they offer a range of footwear with different levels of under foot protection (Shoc- Zone™ 0 to 4 Arrow) and varying differential (0 - 12mm – the difference in height between the heel and forefoot). As you reduce the level of cushioning and differential, the foot gets ever closer to its optimum natural running position.

4 SHANKS

In between the midsole and the outsole is a polymer shank, positioned behind the metatarsal which needs underfoot protection and extra stability – primarily for additional support on longer trips.

5 META-FLEX

All of the Inov-8 range feature a groove which is automatically aligned in front of the metatarsal heads to provide a natural forefoot flex. determine the shape and the fit of the finished shoe.

6 FIT

The “last” is the composite form that is used to use four different specialist lasts, each of which give the shoe a distinct character. Performance precise fit; comfort generous fitting; woman’s comfort; and tighter heel. This means the shoe responds automatically to the shape of the foot for maximum comfort and optimum performance.

7 FOOTBEDS

All Inov-8 shoes come with a 3mm or 6mm removable moulded footbed as standard. Alternative 3mm or 6mm footbeds are available separately which change the internal shoe volume by replacing or adding to the original footbeds, to suit the individual.

8 MET CRADDLE

The upper webbing support in all Inov-8 footwear is anatomically positioned to cradle the forefoot behind the metatarsal heads and provide a secure foothold. This secure fit minimizes movement when ascending, descending and contouring, enabling you to run faster with greater confidence and comfort.

9 LIGHTWEIGHT

Inov-8 always aim to be the lightest in the sector and currently have the lightest off-trail and Gore-Tex boot; Gore-Tex leather boot; and approach shoe. Because carrying 100g extra on your feet uses the same amount of energy as carrying 500g on your back.

10 BREATHABLE

We use lightweight and highly breathable mesh fabrics that allow the foot to breathe while its movement pumps any water through the fabric and out of the shoe. Depending on the model, double layer mesh, nylon scrim or TPU can be added as additional protection to areas of high wear, giving extra durability without compromising weight.
